If you’ve read this blog much at all you know my love for gorgeous photos and the respect and general awe I have towards the photographers who take them.

I bought my first DSLR this fall and I’ve been so busy (and I’ll admit slightly overwhelmed) that I haven’t even had a chance to learn how to use it. This weekend I decided to change all of that and take a photography workshop. I discovered that Emily of Gem Photo teaches a workshop called fun 101…and it was!

Here are some of my favorite photos from I took from our shoot. And be gentle–it was literally the third time I had picked up my camera (and I don’t have photoshop either)!

On the artsy side…

This one’s a little different, but I think it’s my favorite.

Emily is awesome and you should check her out if you’re looking for an amazing California photographer for your wedding or event!

Our gorgeous model was Lisa of With Style & Grace-Inspiration for a healthy and gluten-free life. Hop on over to her blog, she has tons of amazing recipes for anyone–gluten-free or not!

*I took all of these photos, please do not copy or use without permission!

Thanks Jason, the thought of shooting a wedding makes me feel like throwing up, but if you need stills with very little pressure let me know!
