This was such a great day, and I’m so appreciative of Style Me Pretty for sharing it! A little bit ago I got to design and style another fun event for Wedding Paper Divas. This one’s theme was a DIY event we titled, “Ladies Who Brunch.”
We gathered a great group of (mostly) Oakland creatives to create fun DIYs with the WPD invites and enjoyed yummy food and drinks.
The collaborators for the event were just incredible, I feel so fortunate to get to work with such great vendors! (See all of their handles below)
I wish I could have brought the Frances Lane glasses home with me. I need no excuses for adding to my vintage glass collection (hoard).
Sarah Seven opened her Oakland atelier (which I had the pleasure of just having given a fresh revamp design to) for the event. Here we are, and her gorgeous collection below.
One of my favorite elements of the design was the custom backdrop that Tomfoolery created with Wedding Paper Divas envelopes…and a funny photo from their booth with my favorite “Smile, there’s gin” signs by Bright Room Studio!
The florals from Loop were perfect. The look for the event was pretty minimal with a really fresh palette of black, gold and green.
I’m still dreaming of the delicious gin cocktails we made from Alameda’s own St. George Spirits.
Another really fun element of the event was the lash bar that Pricilla Francine hosted! (And shout out for my hair and make-up! It was amazing to actually feel like myself, albiet and more polished version, at an event instead of the sleep deprived mess I usually feel like I look like at an event!)
Jessica Burke captured the event perfectly! I love how great she is at capturing details so beautifully as well as candid moments of the attendees. At the end of our fun morning each one of our guests got to leave with a pretty floral arrangement and a little box of goodies to go with their handmade DIYs. I can’t wait for the next event!
